                        _Family Fun Night Needs You on February 10!

                        _Can you volunteer for a 1-hour shift during Family Fun Night? Your help is needed with set up/clean up, food sales, admissions, carnival games and various activities.                         Auction Coming Soon: Summer Camps and More!

                        _Watch this page for updates on the PTO's upcoming auction, where you'll have an opportunity to bid on sessions donated by our area's most popular summer camps, an evening
                        at the Pops, interior design consultations, a

                        private pilates class, an art class for kids, and lots of other exciting stuff!

                        _Buffer Zones: Important Information

                        _Last December, an Ad Hoc Subcommittee was established to make recommendations to the School Committee on how best to expand  buffer zones in order to accommodate increasing enrollment in Brookline public schools.  A public hearing on the topic will be held at the February 9 School Committee meeting
                        (7 pm at Town Hall). See the PTO Paper  for more information.

                        Green Team News: What Do You Want to Protect?

                        _In conjunction with Brookline's Climate Week,  the Lawrence Green Team invites you to add your voice to our display in the school lobby. Fill out a post-it note saying what you want to protect about the earth, and add it to the board!

                        Also Thursday, February 9  School Committee Meeting, 7 pm at Town Hall, including public hearing on a proposal to expand buffer zones in Brookline.

                        Friday, February 10: FAMILY FUN NIGHT! Come for carnival games, contests, raffles, fun activities, delicious food, a coffeehouse and  more! Volunteers still needed in all areas - contact Tina Manuel (tinaymanuel@gmail.com).

                        Monday, 13 February  Don't miss Lawrence's first Scripps Spelling Bee, at 6 pm in the auditorium. PARENT SPELL CHECKERS NEEDED. Please contact Sarah Ericsson at Sarah_harpist@yahoo.com

                        Friday, February 17  Deadline to register for the Middle School Science Fair, part of the larger Devotion Science Fair and open to any Brookline student in grades 6-8.  (Participants may qualify to go on to middle school regional and state science fairs.)  A downloadable information packet and registration form are available at http://www.devotionschool.org/dl/ScienceFairReg&Info.pdf
